"I was having extreme discomfort from hemroids, and it was becoming increasingly worse. I decided to give Nature's Perfect Remedy a try before seeking professional help, which I fully expected to end in surgery, as my hemroids were at an advanced stage. After taking my first dosage of NPR, I noticed relief within the first 24 hours. Within 3 days of taking daily dosages of NPR, I was able to eliminate without having any discomfort whatsoever! Thank you for this wonderful product." Sincerely, M K Strickland Tampa, FL mkstrick at ij.net

Searching Google for pictures of hemroids turns up some pretty gruesome sights. We've chosen to display images here which are a bit more 'illustrative' so as not to offend our viewers.

Hemroids Symptoms
Hemroid Symptoms

Although many people have hemroids, not all experience the same things. If you experience any of the following, you could have hemroids:

  • Blood in stool after bowel movement
  • Mild burning during movement
  • Protrusion
  • Itching in the anal area
  • Sensitive or painful lump(s) on the anus

Four Degrees of Hemroids:

1st - Blood is the main symptom of hemroids (with no anal prolapse).

2nd - Prolapses during movement but they retract inside the anus afterward.

3rd - After a hemroid protrudes, it does not return inside without physically pushing it back inside.

4th - A hemroid is always protruding outside the anus.

Hemroids Prevention
Hemroid Prevention

If you have to sit for long periods of time, at work, always go for a walk or stand when you get a break. Try to be off your seat at least 5 minutes each hour and shift in your chair from side to side often. This will help you avoid constant rectal pressure.

When lifting or straining, exhale. Do not hold your breath.

Avoid lifting heavy objects if you have hemroids.

If showing signs of diarrhea, constipation or coughing get treatment immediately, since hemroids may be on the horizon.

Bowel movements should take no longer than three to five minutes, therefore, no long-term reading on the toilet. Maintaining good movements and soft stools are essential for preventing hemroids!

No straining during movements - Straining forces hemroids to swell. One way to prevent hemroids is to pass bowel movements as soon as the urge occurs.

If you have hemroids, avoid a lot of wiping after defocating. Using soft moist toilet paper (or a commercial moist pad or baby wipe) may help relieve discomfort. For severe cases shower instead of wiping, then dry gently.

Drink lots of water and follow a hemroids-friendly diet. If necessary, take a stool softener. Softer stools make for smoother, less-strained defocation resulting in less pressure on rectal veins.

Diarrhea can be as tough on the anus as constipation. Don't overuse laxatives!

Hemroids can be mild in the morning and become extremely uncomfortable in the evening.

Inquire with your doctor or pharmacist what non-prescription products are available. See the  medication section of this web site. Please be careful of any side effects of the medication your doctor has prescribed.

Regular exercise helps to avoid becoming constipated.

Excessive alcohol should be avoided.

Avoid irritating food such as pepper and mustard mix. These can create burning during toilet visits and induce swelling.

If these preventive measures fail, seek professional help. A thorough examination, evaluation and proper diagnosis by a doctor is essential when symptoms of hemroids last for more than a couple of days.

Most important is to find the reason for hemroids. Just treating the hemroid is pointless if they are just going to reoccur.

Although most cases of hemroids can be treated with over-the-counter medications, in-home treatments and diet, sometimes more drastic measures need to be taken. There are several hemroid surgery techniques, most of which can be performed as an out-patient facilities.

For many spelling hemroids is about as impossible as snowfall in Africa. Take a look at hemroids.us for a tongue-in-cheek rendition of this difficult word.
